Beautiful views of the Northern Lights last night from the Liahona Guest House. Came out of the sauna to a fantastic light show in the sky. I love the reflection of the aurora borealis in the calm waters of Ucluelet Inlet, as they shine over Mount Ozzard.

The three bears came to spend new years morning in the cove.

You just never know what you will see here on the West Coast. This guy was "wandering" down the highway about 8km from the ocean. Highway crews managed to get him back into the water, after a couple of hours, to hopefully make his way back home.

Little bit of nature happening right in front of Liahona Guest House this past week. A wolf took down a deer and then a bear came around to help clean it up.

You never know what you might run into on the West Coast.

Scott, our caretaker at Liahona Guest House, was lucky enough to get the chance at see this magnificent creature at a distance yesterday, while out hiking, and took this photo.

Cougars are typically solitary animals and keep themselves hidden during daylight hours, so it is a rarity to see them.
