What a weekend! ๐Ÿ™Œ

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who came out and attended Golnoosh Namazi & Iโ€™s Northbound Adventure event, and to everyone who supported, helped, volunteered, or contributed in any way. It truly takes a community to bring something like this to life, and we couldnโ€™t have done it without you.

A massive thank you to CFMOTO Canada and Tourism Valemount for believing in and supporting this event, and to William Chitty aka the Hidden Haven Ranch for welcoming us to such an incredible location and giving Northbound Adventure the perfect place to call home.

Until the next adventure! ๐Ÿค˜

Within minutes of the Valemount Visitor Centre you will find two beautiful wildlife areas where nature does what nature does. One moment you can be viewing the mighty Chinook salmon swimming in Swift Creek, the next a bird of prey soars over head, and then so gracefully a young moose feeds on the tender reeds of the pond nearby while a beaver gnaws on a tree branch. Valemount, a valley of mountains and home to many woodland creatures. Visit and explore the trails of Cranbery Marsh and George Hicks Regional Park.
***Do not approach wildlife, and please remember to leave no trace as you explore. This is their home, let's be sure to keep it safe for them too.โ™ป๏ธ๐Ÿƒ๐Ÿ

๐ŸŸ Think you can jump higher than a Chinook salmon? ๐ŸŸ

Every autumn, one of the most incredible wildlife spectacles in British Columbia unfolds just outside Valemount. After travelling hundreds of kilometres from the Pacific Ocean, mighty Chinook salmon arrive at Rearguard Falls, where they launch themselves skyward in an epic attempt to continue their journey upstream.

๐Ÿ’ฆ Splash. Leap. Repeat.

Watching these determined fish battle the rushing water is equal parts inspiring, exciting, and downright impressive. (Seriously, you'll find yourself cheering them on!) Do be patient as it may take some time to see one!
๐Ÿ’ก Fun Fact: Rearguard Falls is one of the last obstacles encountered by Chinook salmon on their migration and one of the furthest inland locations where you can witness this amazing journey.
๐Ÿ“ Grab your camera, head to Rearguard Falls, and experience one of nature's greatest comeback stories.

๐Ÿ‘‡ Have you ever seen a salmon clear the falls? Tell us in the comments!
