If you’re visiting Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, don’t miss one of the coolest interactive experiences in the land - Datapad Hacking 📱⚡️

Using the Datapad in the Disney Play App, you can interact with ships, droids, panels, and even drinking fountains in a very Star Wars way. When you hack objects, they light up, move, smoke, and make sounds - it feels like you’re part of the Resistance (or the First Order 👀).

🚀 favourite things you can hack in Galaxy’s Edge:
• Hack the X-Wing and hear it power up and down, complete with smoke
• Hack the large antenna and power it down
• Hack the drinking fountain and watch a Dianoga eye-stalk appear 👁️
• Hack the Ronto Roasters droid and hear him talk back
• Hack a landspeeder to power it up and down
• Hack the droids outside Droid Depot — one spins its head, the other makes sounds
• Hack the First Order TIE Fighter to trigger Assault Shuttle schematics
• Hack the Millennium Falcon to fire its landing jets and cause a hyperdrive failure 💥

Galactic Secrets Revealed: A Traveller’s Guide to Batuu

• Ride both Rise of the Resistance and Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run.
• Visit Dok-Ondar’s Den of Antiquities and check out the Holocrons and Kyber Crystals.
• Try Blue or Green milk! Or both!
• Open the Play Disney App and learn how to HACK the droids, x-wing and more around the land! Seriously so cool to do with your kids!
• Grab a Cold Brew Black Caf.
• Walk all the way through the marketplace and check out the droid at Ronto Roasters and the lurking creature in the water fountain/bottle filler station.
• Watch Shadows of a Memory: A Skywalker Saga projection show in Disneyland.
•Catch Fire of the Rising Moons with Fireworks, on select nights in Disneyland.
• Meet the roaming characters who frequent Batuu.
• Want the ultimate Star Wars experience? Head to Savi’s Workshop and build your own lightsaber.
• Ask the PhotoPass photographers for a “hologram” photo.
• Build a droid and interact with others on the play pad.
• Have extra time and a MagicBand+? Go bounty hunting!

🛸Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run

Have you ever dreamed of piloting the Millennium Falcon? On Smugglers Run, that dream becomes reality! You’ll step inside the cockpit of the most famous ship in the galaxy, the very one that made the Kessel Run in less than twelve parsecs, and take on a daring mission for the legendary space pirate Hondo Ohnaka.

Your objective? Steal Coaxium, a rare and valuable hyperspace fuel, while dodging TIE fighters and enemy fire along the way. The success of your mission depends entirely on you and your crew’s skills!

This isn’t just a ride; it’s an interactive, choose-your-own-path adventure where your actions affect the outcome.

🧑‍🚀Crew Roles
You and five other passengers make up the Falcon’s crew, each taking on a unique role inside the cockpit.

🔹PILOTS – The most sought-after role! One pilot controls the ship’s up and down, while the other handles left and right. You’ll need to work together to avoid crashing into obstacles (and yes, it happens often!).

🔹GUNNERS – Your job is to blast enemy TIE fighters and anything that stands in your way. When you first sit down, you’ll choose Manual or Automatic firing.

- Automatic Mode: Great if you’d rather relax and enjoy the show — you’ll simply press a single button to fire.

- Manual Mode: More challenging and interactive: you’ll aim using low, medium, or high targeting buttons based on the ship’s position (up, down, or straight ahead) and the target.

🔹ENGINEERS – An underrated but super fun role! You get the best panoramic view of the cockpit and a great balance of action and downtime to soak in the experience. When the Falcon takes damage, it’s your job to repair the ship and fast! Expect to be frantically pressing buttons and flipping switches while everyone yells for you to fix things. How fast you respond matters: Hondo will let you know if you failed or you might get a nod from Chewie if you perform well!
