It has been a SOLID start to May in Sidney with some very nice hatchery chinook and tasty ling cod coming back to the dock! The lings have been chomping power paddles and the springs have been hitting skinny gs and coho killers well!

SALMON FISHING IS OPEN IN SIDNEY!

We have a hatchery chinook opening in the next few months from our Vancouver Island location based at the Port Sidney Marina. If you are looking to retain chinook in the next few months, come and fish with us in Sidney. We are only a 10 minute drive from the Swartz Bay Ferry and the Victoria International Airport making our spring fishing charters easy to get to for a day trip or a multi day trip! Come over from Vancouver for the day or stay a night or two. There are a couple great waterfront hotels beside our marina!

If you are looking at adding crabbing and prawning to the trip, April is a great month for trapping. If you are looking at ling cod in addition to salmon, come in May or June.

Variable weather, some nice keepers and productive crabbing this past weekend in Vancouver!

Pretty decent week of fishing, especially in Sidney, where there seemed to be a few more keepers in the mix! Skinny Gs were working well for us.

If you are looking to get out winter chinook salmon fishing in Vancouver, come in the next 5 weeks as retention ends on March 31st.

We have retention opportunities for chinook salmon from our Sidney location in April, May, June. (Hatchery only)

A soggy Saturday for a .n.power and his crew yesterday in Vancouver! Guests were able to get warm when needed in the heated cabin, not so much for James. Some good bites and solid action despite the weather!

This amazing stretch of sunny weather has gotten us out on the water quite a bit in Vancouver and Sidney!

In Vancouver, fishing was good at the tail end of last week in Vancouver Harbour, but slowed on the weekend.

Sidney has been good for action, with lots of fish around with a few nice keepers in the mix. Sunday was a good day and we found calm water and a nice limit of chinook. Gibbs Fishing Wee Gs and Skinny Gs have been good in Sidney!

A good start to the New Year! Had a couple good trips in Vancouver and Sidney! Nice to see a few larger fish in the mix.

In Vancouver, smaller g force spoons and spackleback hootchies have been working well. In Sidney, Skinny Gs and Coho Killers have been good.

Weather looks good in the second half of January with a drying trend forecasted!

It has been a wet stretch the last couple weeks in Vancouver! There has been a few nice fish around in Howe Sound and Vancouver Harbour in all the usual spots. Little G Force spoons and Gibbs Fishing skinny gs have worked well running the gear close to bottom! Give us a call if interested in heading out on the water!
