Fall fishing update!

The last few weeks have been classic fall weather and classic fall fishing! We have enjoyed some spectacular calm days on the water with some big bites!

Been grinding out some nice locally the last couple weeks in the areas that are open for retention!

September 1st marks the opening of the Fraser Mouth, Bell Buoy and South Bowen for chinook! 2 per day over 62cm.

We have a few spots that opened up in opening week if you want to get out there!

Going to be a fun September!

June has started off with a bang! Georgia Strait is seemingly in for another excellent year of coho fishing. James and his crew had an excellent 5 hour charter today with abundant of hatchery coho around. Can't expect fishing like this on every outing, but this sure is an encouraging sign of coho abundance for 2026! Give us a call or email to try your luck for June coho!

It has been a SOLID start to May in Sidney with some very nice hatchery chinook and tasty ling cod coming back to the dock! The lings have been chomping power paddles and the springs have been hitting skinny gs and coho killers well!

We have some availability in Sidney in the second half of May if you are interested in a charter!

SALMON FISHING IS OPEN IN SIDNEY!

We have a hatchery chinook opening in the next few months from our Vancouver Island location based at the Port Sidney Marina. If you are looking to retain chinook in the next few months, come and fish with us in Sidney. We are only a 10 minute drive from the Swartz Bay Ferry and the Victoria International Airport making our spring fishing charters easy to get to for a day trip or a multi day trip! Come over from Vancouver for the day or stay a night or two. There are a couple great waterfront hotels beside our marina!

If you are looking at adding crabbing and prawning to the trip, April is a great month for trapping. If you are looking at ling cod in addition to salmon, come in May or June.

Variable weather, some nice keepers and productive crabbing this past weekend in Vancouver!

Pretty decent week of fishing, especially in Sidney, where there seemed to be a few more keepers in the mix! Skinny Gs were working well for us.

If you are looking to get out winter chinook salmon fishing in Vancouver, come in the next 5 weeks as retention ends on March 31st.
