I pass my this iconic building during my City Tours.

The Dominion Building stands as a striking reminder of Vancouver’s early ambition—once the tallest in the British Empire, its ornate Beaux-Arts façade still anchors Gastown with timeless elegance.

On our visit to Whistler today, we saw 6 bears, 2 whales and snow (which was a novelty for my Brisbane clients). The whales were in the Howe Sound! The peak to peak is open on weekends only so lucky us it was a long weekend!

My 1st review of the season.

Review: "We had an absolutely incredible experience exploring Vancouver, British Columbia and the surrounding area — all thanks to our amazing guide, Sandy! From the beautiful city highlights to the stunning natural scenery, everything was perfectly organized and enjoyable. Our visit to Capilano Suspension Bridge was unforgettable — walking across the bridge surrounded by lush forest was both thrilling and peaceful at the same time. We also went up to Grouse Mountain, where the views were absolutely breathtaking. The ride up and the scenery from the top made it a truly memorable experience. Lunch at Horseshoe Bay was amazing — such a beautiful, relaxing spot with great food and incredible ocean views. It was the perfect break during an already perfect day. Sandy made the entire day exceptional — professional, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable. She shared so many interesting facts about Vancouver and the area, kept everything running smoothly, and made sure we were comfortable every step of the way. If you’re visiting Vancouver and want to truly experience the city and its surroundings, I highly recommend Sandy. She will make your trip unforgettable! Thank you, Sandy, for such a fantastic experience!"

Happy International Earth Day 🌲🌿

Today we're celebrating all parts of nature, from the tips of our Douglas firs' to the scampering squirrels often seen on the West Side of the park.

Did you know that you can find an 800 year old Douglas fir on our West Side? That's the true strength and resilience of Mother Nature!

More than 1,500 years ago, the Nazca civilization built the Cantalloc Aqueducts in the desert of southern Peru. Instead of relying on rainfall, they tapped underground water flowing beneath the desert. Stone-lined tunnels carried the water for miles, while spiral openings called puquios allowed people to access and maintain the system.

What’s remarkable is that many of these aqueducts still work today. In one of the driest regions on Earth, the Nazca engineered a water network that has survived for over a millennium.
