This week we celebrated a very special milestone - 40 years of YYZ Travel Group! 🥂 YYZ Travel Group

It was wonderful to see so many friends, agents and industry partners come together to celebrate with us.

And of course, a huge congratulations to the three amazing women behind YYZ - Alexandra, Inna and Vicky. Keeping a travel company going strong for four decades through all the changes and challenges our industry has seen is something very special and definitely worth celebrating.

40 years of travel, friendships, partnerships and many memories along the way.

Sicily is one of those destinations that has a little bit of everything: beautiful coastline, fascinating history, incredible food, charming towns and a culture that feels completely its own.

We’re happy to be partnering with Minor Hotels and showcasing some of their properties in Sicily including NH Collection Taormina and NH Collection Palazzo Sitano. Both offer an excellent location, comfortable accommodations and a great base for discovering this beautiful part of Italy.

This September the 2nd part of our FAM will focus on Sicily and give advisors the opportunity to experience the destination firsthand, meet local partners and see what makes the island such a strong addition to any Italy itinerary.

Our Japan FAM in collaboration with The Ritz-Carlton has come to an end in Fukuoka where our advisors stayed at the beautiful The Ritz-Carlton, Fukuoka. Located in the heart of the city the hotel blends modern luxury with Kyushu craftsmanship and offers breathtaking views of Hakata Bay from its upper floors.

To conclude our journey we were privileged to take part in a private prayer ceremony at Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine, a special and meaningful experience. We also had the opportunity to learn the art of Japanese calligraphy at Nakamura Ningyo where each of us created our own calligraphy piece and gained a deeper appreciation for this beautiful tradition.

What a memorable way to end an incredible journey through Japan. We can’t wait to share this fascinating destination, its culture and its unforgettable experiences with our clients.

From the peaceful streets of Kyoto our journey continued to vibrant Osaka, Japan’s food capital. More compact than Tokyo Osaka is easy to explore while offering an incredible mix of history, nightlife, shopping and some of the country’s best street food.

Our home for the next two nights was the beautiful Ritz-Carlton, Osaka. It offers the timeless elegance of a classic European mansion with grand chandeliers, marble floors, rich wood paneling and the impeccable Ritz-Carlton service.

The hotel offers an outstanding collection of dining experiences including the Michelin-starred La Baie for French cuisine, Hanagatami for traditional Japanese dining, Splendido for Italian cuisine and Xiang Tao for authentic Cantonese dishes. It also features elegant event and wedding venues, an indoor pool, a fitness centre, a spa and one of the city’s most iconic luxury hotel lobbies.

We explored Osaka’s lively streets and famous local markets before enjoying a food tour. From crispy tempura to fluffy Osaka-style pancakes every stop gave us another taste of why the city has earned its reputation as one of Japan’s greatest culinary destinations.

A heartfelt thank you to The Ritz-Carlton, Osaka for welcoming our group with such warmth and for showcasing yet another unique side of Japanese luxury hospitality.

Our journey continued from the energy of Tokyo to the peaceful beauty of Kyoto where our group stayed at The Ritz-Carlton, Kyoto.

Located on the banks of the Kamogawa River with beautiful views of the Higashiyama Mountains the hotel offers a completely different side of Japan - quiet, refined and deeply connected to nature and tradition. With only 134 rooms and suites it feels intimate and serene.

One of the highlights was the traditional kimono experience where the advisors had the opportunity to dress in authentic Japanese attire and feel like they were part of Kyoto’s timeless traditions.

Kyoto was a wonderful opportunity to experience another side of Japan and to see firsthand how beautifully The Ritz-Carlton reflects the history, artistry and peaceful spirit of this extraordinary city.

We’re excited to share that a CG Journeys representative attended the Midnight Sun Workshop 2026 held June 8- 12 in Helsinki and Espoo.

This premier travel industry event brought together international buyers and Finnish travel professionals to explore the very best of Finland. In addition to productive workshop sessions, participants experienced the warm hospitality of the host cities and had the opportunity to join immersive pre-tours showcasing destinations across the country.

From vibrant cities and pristine nature to unique cultural experiences under the magical Midnight Sun Finland continues to inspire and we can’t wait to share everything we’ve learned!
