After Riga the group explored the wider regions of Latvia discovering the country’s depth, diversity and authentic experiences beyond the capital.

In Kurzeme highlights included Liepaja’s creative atmosphere, Karosta Naval Port and the former military prison, the Northern Fortifications, boutique hotel experiences and a Michelin-recognized dining experience at “MO”.

In Zemgale, the journey featured the magnificent Rundale Palace and its baroque gardens, Bauska Castle, Jaunpils Castle and authentic countryside hospitality and culinary traditions.

In Vidzeme the group experienced Cesis and Sigulda’s castles and scenic landscapes along with Ligatne’s unique underground stories and forest surroundings.

Countryside highlights also included Abava Wines, Kalnmuiza Manor House, Mara Muiza, Rozmalas and other boutique manor stays showcasing Latvia’s growing experiential hospitality offering.

CG Journeys together with Finnair and Latvijas Investīciju un attīstības aģentūra - LIAA introduced a group of North American travel professionals to the incredible destination of Latvia and its local DMCs and travel partners.

Over the past few days the agents have had the opportunity to discover Riga firsthand and experience the city’s charm, culture, gastronomy and hospitality while building meaningful connections during networking sessions with local industry partners in the beautiful Lumin Room at the Pullman Hotel.

Latvia is a dynamic and emerging destination with so much to offer. With another exciting week ahead the group will continue exploring the country’s diverse travel experiences, unique products and hidden gems.

CG Journeys’ FAM in St Lucia wrapped up with an incredible stay at Sugar Beach, A Viceroy Resort, a property that impressed our agents from every angle.

Over three days the group toured everything from beachfront bungalows and villas to private residences, including the stunning Spice of Life Residence , an ultra exclusive estate designed for celebrations and larger groups, featuring spectacular Piton views, complete privacy, 24-hour butler service and personalized dining anytime throughout the stay.

Agents also loved the unique Rainforest Spa set within beautiful treehouse-style treatment rooms and offering exceptional treatments in a peaceful atmosphere. Another standout was the resort’s own chocolate boutique adding an authentic St Lucian touch to the experience.

CG Journeys had the pleasure of attending Madrid, Where Business Comes to Life in Toronto earlier this week.

Together with Tourspain and Greater Madrid the event featured an interactive, game-style workshop where preferred travel professionals discovered Madrid as a leading MICE and incentive destination.

We wrapped up our CG Journeys FAM in Portugal with a memorable trip to the south of the country.

After Lisbon, the group visited Jose Maria da Fonseca Winery where they experienced a unique concept of pairing music with wine , a thoughtful way to explore how environment can influence taste of wine.

We then headed down to the Algarve for a few days to unwind and experience the region. The group spent two nights at Tivoli Carvoeiro Algarve Resort, a beautiful cliffside property with incredible ocean views and a relaxed feel - a great option for clients looking for scenery and tranquility.

The final two nights were at Tivoli Marina Vilamoura right on the marina. This hotel has a completely different energy : lively, walkable and social while still offering easy access to the beach. It’s a great fit for clients who enjoy being in the heart of it all.

Along the way, there was also time to experience more of Portugal’s culture including a hands-on tile workshop where we created our own traditional Portuguese tiles , a special keepsake that was later delivered to us. The group also explored local towns and took in the stunning Seven Hanging Valleys hike along the coast.

A really well-rounded ending to the trip, giving everyone a deeper understanding of the Tivoli brand and a strong appreciation for Portugal as a destination.
