Ever wonder what a Tally-Ho horse’s morning looks like before they greet guests in downtown Victoria?

🌅 The day begins at Hidden Acres Farm in Saanichton, where our horses enjoy breakfast alongside their friends in the paddock. After breakfast, each horse receives a full-body groom, a foot wash, and their tail is neatly braided for the day ahead.

🚛 Next, they take a short trailer ride into town, where they meet their driving partner for the day. Every horse is fitted with their own individually sized harness, carefully adjusted to ensure a comfortable fit throughout their shift. Once they’re paired with their carriage, our team makes any final tack adjustments to suit that specific carriage.

🐴 Then it’s time for a leisurely walk to 465 Belleville Street, where they settle in with a second breakfast while welcoming visitors and locals before heading out on their tours through beautiful Victoria.

From the farm to downtown, every part of the morning is designed with our horses’ comfort and care in mind—because happy horses make for happy tours.

Such an amazing celebration of 40 years of the David Foster Foundation and the incredible work they do.

We were so honoured to have a little moment in the drone show on Saturday night — and seeing a horse that looked just like our Tater Tot made it even more special! 🐴❤️
