Captain's Log, Stardate: Blooming.

Quacktain Kirk has beamed down to a previously unexplored planet located just outside the Trek Station.

The mission seemed routine... until the local vegetation was discovered to be approximately 47 times taller than the captain.

Current observations:
🌸 Giant purple-and-white flora thriving in the region
🦆 No signs of hostile life... yet
🖖 Excellent photo opportunities
🌱 A strong temptation to stop and smell every flower

Starfleet Science has officially declared the mission a success, although the Quacktain insists one of the plants winked at him.

Further exploration is recommended.

There are always a few unexpected course corrections on any Starfleet mission, and VulCON 33 is excited to welcome a fantastic new addition to our guest lineup:

🌟 Special Guest Announcement: Eugene Cordero 🌟

Star Trek fans will know Eugene Cordero as the voice of Ensign Sam Rutherford from the hit animated series Star Trek: Lower Decks. As one of the USS Cerritos' most beloved crew members, Rutherford's optimism, engineering genius, cybernetic implant adventures, and unwavering loyalty have made him a fan favourite throughout the series' five-season run.

Through Lower Decks, Eugene has helped introduce a new generation of fans to the Star Trek universe while celebrating the franchise's rich history with countless references, callbacks, and adventures across the final frontier.

Beyond Star Trek, Eugene has built an impressive career across film and television, appearing in popular series such as Loki, The Mandalorian, The Good Place, Tacoma FD, and Brooklyn Nine-Nine, as well as films including Kong: Skull Island, The High Note, and Easter Sunday.

We're thrilled to welcome Eugene to VulCON 33 and can't wait for fans to meet the man behind one of modern Star Trek's most memorable characters. Join us in giving him a warm Vulcan welcome! 🖖✨

Important VulCON 33 Guest Update

Due to an unexpected professional commitment, Michelle Hurd is unfortunately no longer able to attend VulCON 33.

Michelle has asked us to pass along her sincere apologies to our attendees. While she was very much looking forward to visiting Vulcan and meeting fans, this new commitment is one that she must attend. She hopes to have the opportunity to join us at a future event and sends her best wishes to everyone attending this year's convention.

We know many of you were excited to meet Michelle, and while we're disappointed she won't be joining us this year, we're grateful for her support and understanding.

Stay tuned tomorrow morning... because we've got some exciting news about a new guest joining the VulCON 33 lineup! 🖖

Captain's Log, Stardate: Unexpected.

While conducting a routine exploration of the Trek Station's Space Display, Quacktain Kirk made a remarkable discovery...

A previously unknown duck species.

Initial observations indicate the creature is small, silent, and appears to be made entirely of translucent matter.

Current mission objectives include:
🖖 Establishing peaceful relations
🖖 Determining whether it is friend or foe
🖖 Resisting the urge to adopt it immediately
🖖 Not causing an intergalactic incident

Scientists are calling the discovery Anas Quacktus Minor. The Quacktain is calling it "Steve."
