I have just returned from a fabulous cruise on the EDGE. I met many wonderful people that did not know I was a travel agent. The conversations were interesting and reinforced the reasons people should use a travel agent. Do you book your own travel? If you do, I'm sure it has worked out, but have you done it right? Did you miss anything? Do you even know?
If you book your own travel and while in destination start your sentences with: I didn't know that! Or, How was I supposed to know that? Or, I wish I had known that! You may want to see a travel agent next time. One comment was; I always book with the cruise line because it's cheaper! No, it is not. As travel agents we work directly with the cruise lines for better pricing, we hold exclusive group space for pricing, and we care about your valuable holiday time. We want you back as a client, we want your loyalty, so we work really hard for you to ensure a seamless perfect holiday. Another misconception is; travel agents charge more. No, we do not. Again we work directly with the Cruiselines and tour operators and work for the best price and value for our clients. We are your advocates! We are Travel Advisors - Let us do our job! We love it!
