We want to wish a Happy Retirement to Peter Harwerth. Thank you for your years of service as an island businesses and tourism operator.

ANNOUNCEMENT
After 15 years of dedicated service I am ending the season 2026 with my retirement from CAMPOBELLO SIGHTSEEING.

I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the thousands of visitors who have joined us on our 3-hour ISLAND TOURS since 2012. It has been a pleasure to welcome you and share the beauty, history, and special charm of Campobello Island with you.
Thank you for your trust, your interest, and the many wonderful memories we have shared over the years.
As I bring this chapter to a close, I hope you will return to this beautiful island and continue to enjoy everything Campobello has to offer.
Thank you all for 15 wonderful years!

What a season! We are officially closed for the year and want to send a heartfelt thank you to the thousands of visitors who came to the headland this summer. Your visits and support directly fund the ongoing maintenance and care of the Lightstation, and welcoming you was an absolute joy. We can’t wait to see familiar and new faces next season!

As we prepare for the off-season, our regular signage will be updated to reflect that the Lightstation is officially closed, and we will no longer post daily crossover times. Please be aware that maintenance of the crossover path ceases during the winter months, making the ice-covered rocks extremely hazardous. Staff will no longer monitor or clear the island. Crossing over while closed is at your own risk. For your safety and out of respect for the site, we ask that all visitors respect our closure until we reopen.

As our season winds down, tomorrow marks our final day! The crew has been hard at work getting the Lightstation ready for winter—tidying up the Keeper’s Cottage, packing away museum artifacts safely, and making sure everything is secure for the colder months ahead.

Cross-over time tomorrow, Sunday, October 11 will be from 5:00 pm to 7:30 pm Atlantic Time.

Reminder: Today is the last day to get into the Porch for the 2026 Season.

Happy October everyone!!! Going into our last week here are our hours up until closing.

Starting today Oct 2nd 8-2,
Saturday Oct 3rd 8-8( our last night open).
Sunday -Thursday 8-3.

Closing October 8th for the season.
