West Kelowna is on the world stage for culinary tourism! ℹ️ 🥗

National Geographic has recognized our area as one of the Top 15 Places in the World for Food Right Now and every restaurant and winery highlighted in the feature is located right here in West Kelowna.

From the iconic Westside Wine Trail to award-winning farm-to-table dining experiences, this recognition reflects the incredible talent, innovation and agricultural roots that continue to shape our community.

Featured West Kelowna destinations include:
🍷 Volcanic Hills Estate Winery
🍷 Little Straw Vineyards & Tula Restaurant
🍷 Quails' Gate & Old Vines Restaurant
🍷 Mission Hill Family Estate Winery

This honour comes shortly after the Central Okanagan received Canada’s first-ever UNESCO Creative City of Gastronomy designation, further recognizing the strength of our local food, wine and tourism sectors.

Congratulations to our wineries, chefs, farmers, tourism partners and local businesses for helping showcase West Kelowna to the world. 🍇

This recognition celebrates the strength of West Kelowna’s local economy, our rich agricultural roots, the enduring heritage of the Syilx Okanagan people, and the passion and innovation of the local entrepreneurs helping shape our community.

Two museums. One shared place.

“Where Our Communities Meet” celebrates the deep roots of our region. It highlights everything from the living culture and traditions of the syilx/Okanagan People to the stories of early settlers and the industries that shape our community.

We are proud to highlight the work happening at both the Sncewips Heritage Museum and the Westbank Museum. Together, they help us understand where we come from and the many stories that make West Kelowna what it is.

➡️Plan a visit and explore the language, art, traditions and everyday objects of our community at these museums!

📍Sncewips Heritage Museum | #260 – 525 Hwy 97
📍 Westbank Museum | 2376 Dobbe Rd (Hwy 97)
