We are honoured to partner with the Stanley Park Ecology Society for a special Pride Bird Walk at Áx̱achu7 (Little Lake), also known today as Beaver Lake, in Stanley Park.

Join us on Friday, August 14th from 10:00 AM – 11:30 AM as we gather in community to walk gently upon the land and listen to the voices of our flying relatives. Together with experienced cultural guides and ornithologists, we will share both cultural teachings and scientific knowledge about the birds who continue to care for these lands and waters.

Áx̱achu7 is a place of reflection, relationship, and life. Through this walk, we hope to create space for learning, connection, and celebration during Pride, honouring diversity not only within our communities, but within the natural world around us.

May we move with respect, curiosity, and good hearts as we learn from the winged ones who have always been here before us. 🪶🌿🏳️‍🌈

Today, on Red Dress Day, we honour the lives of Missing & Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, and Two-Spirit people across Turtle Island. ❤️

This day is a time for remembrance, reflection, and action. We stand with the families, survivors, and communities carrying the weight of ongoing loss while continuing to advocate for justice, safety, and accountability.

The red dress has become a powerful symbol representing the spirits of those who are missing and murdered; a reminder that they are never forgotten.

We encourage everyone today to wear red, learn from Indigenous voices, support Indigenous-led organizations, and hold space for the lives impacted by this ongoing crisis.

Every life mattered. Every voice matters. Every story matters.

As Longhouse season comes to an end, our hearts are full.

Thank you to everyone who joined us on November 1st at the shíshálh Nation Longhouse. Your presence, your listening, and your support helped uplift something deeply important — the revitalization of she shashishalhem language and culture.

Through story, song, tea, bannock, and shared space, we witnessed the strength of community and the beauty of culture carried forward.

This gathering helped support the she shashishalhem Team on their journey to the World Indigenous Education and Language Revitalization Conference in Aotearoa (New Zealand), and we are so grateful to have walked alongside you in that purpose.

At Talaysay Tours, we remain committed to doing everything we can to support cultural revitalization — because we are the land and the land is us.
