Fire ban is lifted
🚨 𝗙𝗜𝗥𝗘 𝗕𝗔𝗡 𝗨𝗣𝗗𝗔𝗧𝗘 – 𝗥𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗮𝘂 𝗟𝗮𝗸𝗲𝘀 🚨
Effective immediately, Rideau Lakes Fire Rescue is moving from a FULL FIRE BAN to a 𝗟𝗘𝗩𝗘𝗟 𝟭 𝗙𝗜𝗥𝗘 𝗕𝗔𝗡.
🔥 What’s allowed under Level 1:
Campfires (for warmth or enjoyment)
Cooking fires (BBQs, outdoor cookstoves, fire pits)
❌ 𝗔𝗹𝗹 𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗻-𝗮𝗶𝗿 𝗯𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘀 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗵𝗶𝗯𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗱.
Please note: you may still see FULL BAN signs around the municipality. Our staff are working to update these as quickly as possible – thank you for your patience.
➡️ Always burn safely, keep fires small, never leave them unattended, and ensure they are completely out before leaving.
Please remember to keep an eye on the burn permit site or call the toll free number for up-to-date burn status anytime of day.
