Fun things to do in Whistler in the spring part 5:

Walk or bike to the train wreck!!

Park your car on Jane Lakes Road in Cheakamus and take the Sea to Sky trail to Train Wreck Express, cross the suspension bridge over the Cheakamus River and end up directly at the train wreck site.

This is a very easy hike/bike (rated green on ) suitable for walking or biking.

Beautiful views of the Cheakamus River and the graffitied train wreck.

Fun things to do in the spring in Whistler part 2:

Go mountain biking!! The snow melts quickly in the valley so the lower bike trails are ready to ride.

Lost Lake & Cheakamus are the first to thaw and are the perfect warm up for the season. Check for trail status.

For a larger variety of trails, take a trip down to Squamish where the elevation is lower and the snow melts quicker.

Fun things to do in Whistler in the spring part 1:

Go skiing!!! One mountain (either Whistler or Blackcomb) stays open until around May 22nd every year.

Get some sunny slushy laps in and who knows, if it's anything like this spring you might just get some killer powder days in too!!

Expect any snow/weather conditions. Snow, rain, slush, powder, ice, sun you name it, don't forget your sunscreen and waterproof jacket!

**Limited beginner terrain available in the spring
