The power and beauty of the ocean can be captivating, but we want to remind visitors to consider safety first and foremost.
Before you jump in, it's important to stay mindful of dangers such as rip currents. These fast-moving currents can quickly pull swimmers away from shore, so if you find yourself caught in one, remember to swim parallel to the beach to break free, not against it.

A reminder that pool floaties are fun at the pool but not allowed on PEI National Park beaches. They are not safe for ocean use. They can be easily carried away by the current, so it’s best to stick with Coast Guard-approved life jackets for added safety, especially for kids.
During the operating season, daily updates on surf conditions can be found on PEINow.
