When the last light hits the Macmillan, the whole Yukon goes quiet.
No traffic. No signal. Just fire in the sky, glass-calm water, and that feeling that you finally made it somewhere most people will never see.

“Caught on camera in the wilderness — a grizzly bear taking down a full-grown moose cow in the lake.
This is nature at its most powerful and unforgiving. While moments like this are incredible to witness, they also highlight a growing reality in many northern ecosystems: unchecked predator populations are putting immense pressure on moose herds.
When bears and wolves take a heavy toll on cows and calves, it directly impacts herd sustainability, hunting opportunities, and the overall balance of the ecosystem. Responsible predator management isn’t about eliminating bears — it’s about smart, science-based conservation that protects both predators and prey for future generations.
