Epic half day with Hank and brother Gus, along with photographer/mom Sam! Hank is fishing crazy and was crushing pike all day! 3 over 40", pretty amazing for such a young guy. Might be a while before he tops that one! We had an awesome shore lunch to boot, the boys had a great time digging around in fish guts 😅

Honestly looking forward to another winter of this. The willows are turning, the weather is cooling. Won't be long before we're back on the ice hunting for northern lights as well as fish.

Giants from the black

Pretty cool to be hitting big trout in the black dark as the days slowly wind down and the summer gradually comes to a close. Takes some tweaks to the technique to get them to go, but they are out there and they are eating! I'll happily book one of these outings to anyone who wants to go. One bonus is that Northern Lights season is upon us, you might get a two for one deal if we fish late!

Great day with Chris and Helme the other day, they were visiting from Ontario and wanted a big laker, after an epic fight we got a giant in the net! Coupled with an amazing shore lunch, great weather and good conversation, it was an awesome day in some beautiful country. Hope to see you both again!

Got into an unreal jig bite the other day with some great people from Ontario, three people on board and we had many double headers and one triple header! Big fish of the day was a 22 lb laker, good times on spinning gear!

Hogust is rapidly approaching and I have some availability!! Let me know when you're free! Dozens of big fish have been in the boat so far this year and with any luck, we aren't done yet!

Declan and Ryan made their way north for a bit of exploring and fishing, we were able to get each of them a 40+ inch pike and a pile of lake trout in the same day! Fishing has been great this summer, looking forward to the back half that's for sure!

Brad and young Ben made their way north for a super quick trip, the wind was up but we were able to stay on them! Truly incredible action, both of them caught multiple trophies, and pictured here is the first 40+" double header of the season! Such a fun day, hope to see these two again soon.

Kevin, Tanya and Carmen from Alberta joined me for a half day of pike fishing, we had to work for them a bit but the results were incredible! Here are just a few of the photos from that day. Everyone got at least one fish over 40", rarely do clients call a half day short but we packed it in an hour and a half early, everyone was satisfied! Truly amazing Yukon fishing!

Winter Pike

Great solo pike fishing trip this winter, camping on the ice and enjoying the relative warmth! 8 fish over 40", a few 39's, and a truly incredible number of smaller fish, with all but ONE measuring at least 30". Looking forward to catching some more of these beauties from the boat once the lakes are ice free!

Spring in The North

The snow is gone, and the creeks are full of fish! The grayling are making their way upstream for their annual spawn, and they are voracious. I have plenty of availability in the coming weeks, if you've been wanting to learn to fly fish, there is no better species to learn on than grayling! If you're heading out yourself, please remember these first are very vulnerable this time of year. Keep moving, catch only a few from each run. Play fish quickly and keep handling to a minimum,
always with wet hands and never letting them flop around on the bank or in dry grass. If you want fish to eat, remember that they don't keep well and are best enjoyed as fresh as possible! Limit your keep and let these northern gems make their babies, a healthy grayling population is good for all species in the north!
