Looking for something fun to do this Saturday night?

While teams tackle adventures across Steinbach during the day, the real celebration kicks off this Saturday, July 11th, at the AFTER BURN Celebration & Social. Held at the Southeast Event Centre in Steinbach, this is shaping up to be one of the biggest social events of the summer.

What to expect:
• An Epic Silent Auction: Win Prizes like a paddleboard, patio furniture, Winnipeg Jets tickets, and a signed Connor Hellebuyck jersey!
• Party Atmosphere: Enjoy a cash bar, music & entertainment, and a 50/50 draw.
• Race Awards: Cheer on the day's Amazing Race participants as awards are handed out.

The Best Part? Tickets are only $15, and 50% of all ticket sales go directly to supporting local cancer patients and their families through the vital Southeast Cancer Support Transportation program.

Summer is here, and there’s no better time to gather the family for an adventure at the Alfred Hole Goose Sanctuary and Visitor Centre!

The sanctuary started in Rennie when local farmer Alfred Hole rescued and hand raised four orphaned goslings, building them a pond on the Rennie River. Today, that legacy lives on as a favourite spot for families to get up close with Canada Geese and discover the amazing wildlife that calls Manitoba home.

Ready to explore? Grab your binoculars for an easy 2.5 km walk around the Goose Pond, the perfect length for little explorers! While you’re there, be sure to swing by the Whiteshell Trapper’s Museum to discover the history of trapping in our province.

Pack a snack, lace up your shoes, and come make some memories in the Whiteshell!

Are you an enthusiastic student who loves community events and exploring Eastern Manitoba? 🚗📸

The Gig:

Role: Summer Student with Eastern Manitoba Tourism Association

What you'll do: Attend regional events, run the EMTA booths, snap photos, compile info about events for our social media, and computer work/data entry

Details: 9-week position starting July 1st (or sooner). Minimum 30 hours/week (includes some evenings/weekends)

Must haves: Valid drivers license and your own vehicle, the ability to meet deadlines, work independently and with others

Wages: Pending qualifications + expenses covered

Get ready for the ultimate weekend of adventure! 🌲☀️ We are thrilled to invite you to the inaugural Eastman Tourism & Outdoor Show this weekend!

Whether you love camping, fishing, golf, or just finding the best local artisans, this show has something for everyone. Tourists and locals alike are rediscovering Eastern Manitoba, and we are bringing the best of our region together under one roof. Plus, we are proudly hosting this event in Lac du Bonnet to show our support for the community.

What to expect:
⛺ Outdoor gear, equipment, and adventure showcases
⛳ An "Everything Golf" section featuring gear, apparel, and a putting green!
🧑‍🌾 A massive Farmers Market and local artisan works
🎟️ The "Eastman Bingo Card" activity for a chance to win amazing prizes!
🍔 Free parking, live entertainment, amazing food, and refreshments
