We would like to provide a quick update regarding the park opening. At this time, we remain on track for our anticipated opening date of June 1st.

We sincerely appreciate everyone’s continued patience and support as our team works diligently to ensure everything is ready. As we move closer to opening, we kindly ask for your understanding and grace, as there may still be a few challenges and adjustments along the way.

Campground Opening Further Delayed
The 2026 opening for Whispering Pines Family Campground is further postponed due to ongoing substantial flooding throughout the property.
The revised tentative opening date is Monday, June 1, at 9:00 a.m. This date may be subject to further delay, if the water does not subside. Confirmation of opening will be provided one week prior to opening.
The Campground will extend the season into the fall. The Campground will close Sunday, October 25th, 2026, at 4:00 p.m.
The Campground has experienced record flooding, creating significant heath and safety concerns. Standing water on much of the property has impacted hydro service, septic, potable water, the main office, maintenance facilities, pool, uprooted trees, limited road access and washouts. No Trespassing signs are posted at the front gate and fence.
2026 site fees are to be paid but, upon review and to be fair to everybody, seasonal fees will be reduced by $500. Refunds will be issued to those that have prepaid. New payments will be adjusted accordingly.

Good Day,

Regrettably, Whispering Pines Family Campground will be delayed in opening this season due to generalized flooding in the Campground and Hepworth area.

The revised opening date is Thursday, May 14th at 9:00 a.m. In turn the Campground will be closing Sunday, October 25th 2026 at 4:00 p.m.

Due to the extent of the groundwater, flooded areas and conditions of the roadways we are asking you not to access the Campground due to safety concerns.

Whispering Pines Family Campground will be opening at 9:00am, May 1st 2026.

Bookings for the 2026 season are currently open!

Friendly reminder to our seasonal campers that we no longer have a pin code gate system and will only be using cards and barcodes. Please contact the office with the numbers on the back of your cards to gain access to the park this spring.

We look forward to seeing everyone this season!
