Besides the humour, music and plot, we love that this 17-minute-long show gives parkgoers a chance to beat the heat and spend some time in the A/C! It's been a family favourite for 20 years!

Universal tip of the day:

Universal Studios provides test seats outside of attraction lines for guests to try before they ride!

We strongly encourage visitors to try out the ride vehicle before they get on to see if it is comfortable, if they fit, or if it could trigger any claustrophobia. Rides in Universal are generally more restrictive to different body shapes, sizes, and abilities than other theme parks.

Disney tip of the day:

Know your party size! Cast Members ask all parties before loading how many people there are so they can assign you to a row! Make sure that there is always someone in the front of the party who knows how big the party is and depending on the size of your group you might not all be sitting in the same row or the same car!

Universal tip of the day:

If you want to travel on the Hogwarts Express you must have a park-to-park ticket!

Traveling on the Express is a fun activity, even if you are not a mega fan of Harry Potter!

Disney Tip of the Day: Choosing your park bag!

You see all the time people wearing themed bags to Disney and while that is a neat and fun idea if you are going with friends or older family. If you are traveling with kids we suggest:

-One park bag that all adults are able and willing to carry, so choose a bag that is adjustable and comfortable for everyone to wear.

-Backpacks are easier on the shoulders compared to cross-body bags and they can hold much more than cross-body bags can!

-Waterproof bags are a great choice especially as it rains suddenly in Florida and there are plenty of water rides in the parks where your bag can get wet. This also works well for going to the pool or to a water park!

Universal Tip of the Day:

Check to see what parks have Early Entry at Universal Orlando, they change every day. If you are staying on property that means you can get into the park an hour before guests staying off property. That extra hour really enables you to get lots of rides done and then enjoy the rest of the day in the same park or hop to the other park!

Disney Tip of the Day

For those groups traveling with strollers: all over Disney Parks there are designated stroller parking areas outside of attractions, restaurants, and restrooms. Even if you park within the designated area, Cast Members can still move your stroller around to make room for more. Mark your stroller with an easily identifiable ribbon or gift topper so that you can spot it easily. It will still be within the stroller area you chose but being able to spot it from a distance is key!

Universal Tip of the Day

Universal really goes all out with its special events! Keep those dates in mind when you are booking vacations, as the parks will close early for regular-day guests.

Also keep an eye on those dates if you want to ATTEND one of the Universal Special events, that way you can plan which park to do during the day that you purchased the special ticket.

Please note that Halloween Horror Nights in particular is not for younger kids! It is geared toward older children and adults. If you are concerned check out videos on YouTube from previous years to see if the event is the fit for you!

Disney Tip of the Day:

Choose your shoes wisely! There is a lot of walking at the Disney World Resort as it boasts the 4 biggest parks across all Disney resorts around the world. Plan to walk around 30,000 steps a day.

Good shoes for walking are very important, we suggest 2 pairs for long distances and these should be shoes you already know you can walk in! Do not break in new shoes at Disney World! One pair of sandals or flip-flops for the pool are perfect for just slipping on and running out the door to get into the pool and out of the Florida heat!

Universal tip of the day!

If you are wanting to go to both Universal Studios and Walt Disney World, consider staying a couple nights on both properties! This cuts down on transportation costs or parking and also allows you to maximize the resort guest benefits!

We suggest putting Universal at the beginning of your trip, then moving to Walt Disney World resort and having an off day/pool day to recover from Universal before getting stuck in at the Most Magical Place on Earth!
