Planning a weekend near Clear Lake? Build in time for both Elkhorn Resort and Wasagaming, with a chalet stay, spa morning, good food and a few easy ways to explore the area.

Here’s one way to spend the weekend:

Day 1
Check in at Elkhorn Resort and pick up a property map before heading to your chalet. Settle into your space, then make a night of Housekeeping, the resort’s speakeasy-style cocktail bar. Order a few dishes to share, enjoy a mocktail and stay for a while by the fireplace. Housekeeping is available on select dates, so check the resort’s schedule before your stay.

Day 2
Start the morning at Klar So Nordic Spa. Make time for the relaxation pavilion, steam sauna, dry sauna and pool areas, then stay for lunch at the Klar So Bistro. Back at the chalet, keep the evening simple with board games from the front desk, snacks and a movie night.

Day 3
Head into Wasagaming for breakfast at Whitehouse Bakery & Restaurant, then spend some time around Clear Lake and stop at The Boardwalk for ice cream. Before heading home, return to Elkhorn Resort and rent an e-bike for one last look around the property.

A few things to pack for your stay: bug spray, sunscreen, comfortable footwear and sandals or slippers for the Nordic spa.
