Choose your chews on your next river cruise.

WW and .wpg are teaming up to bring fabulous snacks to Winnipeg’s high seas. You can now purchase a Mini Cup when you check in for your boat tour.

Sharecuterie is one of our newest neighbours here in market. They make fantastic food, and we’re excited to offer their classic Mini Cup. They feature cured meats, artisanal cheese, berries and grapes. You can always bring any food or drink on board our boats. This just makes it even easier!

Due to cold temperatures, we are closed today, 13 June.
When it is colder than 10 degrees, it’s just too chilly to be out there!
Sorry to folks who were planning to come out today. 😭

We’re happy to report that our high water dock is installed and working wonderfully.

Expect no delays when boarding and on boarding your Winnipeg Waterways tours. However, there are some limitations for access accessibility. Two 5 inch steps, and a fair slope on the walkways. An unavoidable feature when the riverwalk floods.

We’re open seven days a week from noon until 8 PM. See you at the high water docks!

The river level has risen slightly, so the Riverwalk is currently not accessible. We are busy installing our high water dock, and our service will not be interrupted.

Accessibility update! There will be three steps of approximately 5 inches tall in order to access the dock currently. I will update when our full high water dock is in place!

Calling all boats people. The Forks public docks are open for parking. This includes a very handy canoe/kayak launch!

There are 8 spots for motor boats and plenty of space for paddlers. Enjoy your rivers! Share with your boat buds.

Only one expression truly captures how it feels to work at Winnipeg Waterways: Yeehaw.

Our crew has been having a great time during this early heatwave! The city’s greenery has really popped in the last week. We’re offering regular departures from noon to 8pm everyday.

We also offer special rates for School groups! If you want to bring your students on the water, follow our link in our bio to find our offers. We can host groups of any size by running multiple boats.

Stay tuned for more crew, more offers, and new stuff! See you at the docks.

If you’re looking for the Winnipeg Waterways sales kiosk, you can find us at the top of the stairs that lead down to the port. You can’t miss us.

Over the winter our hosts, renovated our space! We’ve been getting to know the new space and it’s very comfy. Thank you!

We are now open for the season. Our classic 35 minute scenic tours are available from 12-8 everyday. The water bus service is not running yet. The water on the Assiniboine is very turbulent right now. In fact, the current speed is in the top 5% of recorded speeds for the past 80 years!

Come enjoy the spring waters.

WW news for opening day 2026. Read on!

Howdy, we’re Will and Griffin, and we started Winnipeg Waterways in 2024 with a simple idea: get people out on the rivers and help them see Winnipeg from a whole new angle. We’re proud to operate from the historic Forks Port and even prouder to share these waterways with both locals and visitors. Winnipeg is our hometown, and the rivers here tell the story of the city and so much of Canada’s history. There’s something special about being out on the water, and we love to share it with you.
This past April, we were incredibly honoured to be nominated for a Tourism Award. It was exciting to attend a gala in the company of the best Manitoba has to offer. It was thrilling to see friends and colleagues being nominated and receiving awards. But the best part was when we won for Business of the Year! As a new local company, that recognition means a lot to us. It was an amazing surprise to hear our name called and walk up to meet the presenters and receive the award. Thank you all of the people who have supported and partnered with us since we made our first waves. Our Staff, our guests, local tourism organizations, and our home: The Forks.

A huge congratulations to The Forks for receiving the Social Impact award for their Target Zero Eliminates Waste program. They continue to be a leader in this space and it’s amazing to see what they’ve accomplished over the years and especially in 2025.

We are happy to report that water levels in the Red River have been lowering steadily since late April. We will be at operating levels very, very soon. Pair that with rising temperatures and you got yourself a recipe for boat rides!

We are officially setting sail for the May long weekend.
Open 12-8pm, May 16, 17, and 18. Closed on the 19th. Starting May 20th we will be open every day for the rest of the season! Come on down and celebrate spring with us. See you at the docks.
