🍂 Maritimes – Day 21 | Wisconsin Dells 🚌
With the sun shining across the rolling Wisconsin countryside, we departed Middleton and made our way toward Wisconsin Dells, ready for a day filled with beautiful scenery, adventure, and a few unforgettable treats!
🚢 Upper Dells Cruise
Our morning began with a 2¼-hour cruise through the Upper Dells, a region famous for its towering sandstone cliffs, emerald-green water, and peaceful wilderness. Once everyone was comfortably aboard, our adventure began!
🌿 Witches Gulch
One of the highlights was Witches Gulch, a beautiful canyon accessible only by boat. The narrow winding passageways, moss-covered rock walls, cool shaded air, and gentle sounds of water made it feel like stepping into another world.
Passengers enjoyed walking along the secluded boardwalk trail, surrounded by incredible natural formations carved over thousands of years. Peaceful, mysterious, and breathtaking — definitely a place that makes you stop and say, “Wow!”
🐕 Dog-Jumping Show
Back on board, we cruised to one of the Dells’ entertaining traditions — the dog-jumping show, where a trained dog leaped from one spot to another over a break in the cliff. A fun addition to our morning!
🍁 Exploring Wisconsin Dells
After the cruise, passengers had a couple of hours to wander Main Street, enjoy lunch, browse the shops, and soak up the warm fall sunshine. The town was beautifully decorated with pumpkins, mums, and colourful autumn décor.
🧀 Mac & Cheese
The Mac & Cheese restaurant was another crowd favourite, offering comforting classics along with some creative twists.
🍫 Chocolate-Covered Bacon
And then came the chocolate-covered bacon! Salty, sweet, crunchy, and definitely indulgent — a treat that certainly got people talking!
🍹 Lunch & Local Flavours
Whether enjoying a cold drink at the saloon or sampling flavourful dishes at the Mexican restaurant, our passengers found plenty of choices to enjoy during their time in the Dells.
🎲 Bingo Fun
Our group wasn’t done with the fun yet! We gathered for four more lively games of Bingo on the coach. There was plenty of laughter, friendly competition, and excitement as everyone waited for those winning numbers.
🎁 Today’s Bingo Prizes
Our prizes included handy dish rags, generously donated by some of our thoughtful passengers. Little acts of generosity like this add so much fun and warmth to our group trips!
🏨 On to Bloomington
By mid-afternoon, we boarded the coach and travelled on to our hotel in Bloomington. With the evening free, passengers had time to unwind, share stories from the day, and enjoy the company of new friends.
