Chalk Creek Bed & Breakfast Mark and Jo Love began the Love Ranch in 1926, as a cabin camp for summer vacationers. Mark died in 1930 leaving Jo to operate the Ranch. Princeton and Mt.

Before her death in 1976, Jo created four subdivisions known as the Jo Love Ranch subdivision. During the 50-years of operation the original 3 cabins were expanded to a 9 unit camp, which included Ship-A-Hoy and Cozy. Bonnie and I purchased Lot 2 in the Jo Love Ranch No. 5 Subdivision in 2000, which was east of the main Love Ranch property. The 2.06 acre parcel had a water well, an outhouse, two c

abins: Ship-A-Hoy & Cozy. The cabins were pretty tired looking, especially the interiors, but the lot was breathtaking! With mostly aspen and mountain cottonwood trees, a fork of Chalk Creek runs through the property; the main creek runs along our southern boundary. We thought the beaver pond was pretty cool, but later learned that it came with a price! The lot is nestled between two 14,000’ peaks: Mt. Antero. The Chalk Creek B & B backs up to the San Isabel National Forest.
