The highlight of the three-day Croatian pilgrimage was the festive Mass and the beautiful candlelight procession with the Pilgrim Virgin on August 29th.

✨🙏 Around 2,000 pilgrims took part in this special event! It is a wonderful testament to our living faith and an amazing tradition that has been upheld for decades. 🇭🇷🕯️

🏇 September 6: The Corsa del Drappo Starting at 3:30 PM, the highly anticipated traditional horse race begins! Watch riders representing the city's historic districts compete on the track, bringing the colors, passion, and pride of their neighborhoods to life.

🎪 September 7–8: Traditional Fair & Beer Festival Explore bustling streets filled with stalls, local products, and immersive historical re-enactments that take you back in time. Be sure to raise a glass at the traditional Beer Festival, featuring excellent German beer brought by our twin city, Altötting—a true celebration of friendship! 🇮🇹🤝🇩🇪

⛪ September 8: The Grand Finale
11:00 AM: Holy Mass at the Basilica, the spiritual heart of the festivities.

9:00 PM: A spectacular live concert by the Italian Air Force Band in Piazza della Madonna.
Late Evening: Join the entire square for a lively game of "Tombola Urlata" (traditional bingo), followed by a massive fireworks display lighting up the Loreto sky! 🎆

Get ready to experience the thrill, history, and vibrant traditions of Loreto! Every September, in conjunction with the celebrations of the birth of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the city comes alive with the Corsa del Drappo—a spectacular horse race dating back to the 1700s.

Originally started by merchants showing off their fastest and strongest horses at the local livestock fair, today it is a fierce competition where Loreto's 9 historical districts battle for the ultimate prize: the "Drappo" banner, a symbol of authentic city pride.

Event Highlights:

🥁 Historical Parade: The festivities kick off with stunning historical costumes, the municipal marching band, and passionate locals supporting their districts.

🏇 The Race: Watch riders and horses gallop up the steep 450-meter climb of "Montereale" hill in a thrilling four-round competition.
