The Art of the Apéro – Part 1: Spanish Coast

When golden hour settles on the Spanish coast, it means one thing.

In Costa Brava, it is vermut poured over ice, a plate of anchovies passed around the table, crisps disappearing by the handful, and terraces filling with chatter.

In Mallorca, a bottle of local wine is opened at home, bread glossed with olive oil, almonds, cheese and tomàtiga shared between friends. Perhaps a chilled hierbas to finish.

Different flavours, same feeling: an unhurried gathering, sharing simple pleasures, and toasting to a day well spent.

Les Gets in summer takes on a whole new appeal for the adventurous ⛰️

When the snow melts, suddenly the whole mountain is yours. Wildflower meadows roll up to ridge lines, trails punctuate the lush landscape and cowbells echo across the valleys.

The morning’s activities are undertaken while the air is still cool. Sun-warmed lunches are well-earned. This is the French Alps in their element.

This summer, the mountain comes alive. The Les Gets Cycling Grand Prix hits the roads on the 4–5 July, followed by the Trail des Gets from 18–19 July. Then, the whole village transforms into a festival for the UCI Mountain Bike World Cup on 20–23 August.
