Wine shouldnt just be excellent, but as unique as its terroir and producer.

This is certainly the case for - it took me a while for my first visit to this outstanding biodynamic winery, farm and restaurant in the so called region in the Sardinian countryside, Italy.

Alessandro now, his father Paolo before him and their staff have been pioneers (and rebels!) of natural and biodynamic wines in Italy.

All their wines are monovarietal (except for two), grown biodynamically with no added... nothing! Complexity comes from simple ingredients (actually just one: 🍇).

Their vineyards (including a centenary Cannonau clone used to produce their ) are impressive, as it’s the location and the winery itself.

🍷 My “coup de coeur@ was for - a 100% Pascale, a variety which is rarely used alone: this wine seduced me with an intense nose of wild cherries, plums, cinnamon,balsamic aromas and Mediterranean herbs.
I loved its bright acidity, its well integrated and somewhat earthy tannins (compared to the other reds), which combined with a surprising freshness for this terroir, didn’t give away that this wine had 15.5% alcohol content.

You’ve got to love popular medicine in Spain in the 70ies! 🤪 These remedies sound great, though I highly doubt that they are really effective and I wouldn’t drink to cure any of these health issues. 🍷. Would you? 🤔 I’ve found this very enjoyable book for 4 euros .barcelona in - looking forward to find more gems like this! @ Barcelona, Spain

Natural wine redefines all conventional wine rules! Take Tempranillo grapes from Toledo, Spain and what you get? 🍷 An excellent fruity, elegant straightforward medium body rose’ (rosado, really??) with fresh aromas of raspberries and forest red fruits, flowers and some balsamic notes.

I love vermouth, and this is the reason why I don’t drink Martini - So, was really happy about this excellent vermouth experience in , Tarragona! Didn’t really investigate organic and sustainable wine making practices here - more of a well informative and humble introduction to the history of and the making of in the area, combined with an excellent ! 🍷 These guys have won quite a lot of prizes in Catalunya and you understand why.

Tough “competition” at in Falset last night! We could not decide which natural wine was better: 🍷 La Querida of Vynes Compte from Falset (located in the DO Montsant, not in the “denominación”), or 🍷Emma of Vega Aixala from Vilanova Vins Can only recommend to try both and find out ;) @ 法尔塞特
