Illuminarium Zurich 2023 is a splendid, free, open-air festival of lights in the courtyard of the Landesmuseum Zurich. Unmissable program!

It is located very close to Zurich main station. This year, it takes place daily from November 9th to December 30th (except December 24th and 25th).

There are food and drink stalls and a bar serving hot and cold food and drinks. You can also opt for a Fondue Chalet.

There are also two extra shows, both of which are paid, which visitors can watch in the Landesmuseum's inner courtyard: The cost for the combo of the two shows is 5.80 CHF (6-9 years old), 10.80 CHF (10-15 years old) and 19.80 CHF (+16 years).

1.YUKI SHOW
Mythical creature Yuki and her friends present their latest show “CHRISTMAS OPERA (La Traviata reloaded)”. Hours are 5pm – 8pm every 45 minutes and are paid.

2. Digital Art Show CyberCity is a modern mapping show that takes visitors on an extraordinary journey through the World Wide Web. This is from 8pm to 10pm

Tip: Don't forget to try the Glüwein (wine with cinnamon).

Morcote, nestled in the Canton of Ticino, along the scenic shores of Lake Lugano, is a captivating old fishing village that continues to enchant with its innate beauty and charm. It previously earned the esteemed title of Switzerland's most beautiful village in 2016. 📸

Saint-Ursanne, situated in the canton of Jura, has dutifully maintained its medieval character, complete with a majestic castle. 🏰 Both of these picturesque Swiss gems were officially recognized at the UNWTO General Assembly, held in Samarqanda, Uzbekistan.

This prestigious award, conferred by the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), celebrates villages that stand out for their exceptional commitment to preserving the environment, culture, traditions, and local gastronomy in rural areas. 🌍🍽️

The jury was profoundly impressed by Morcote and Saint-Ursanne's dedication to sustainable development, their charming town centers, and their initiatives to conserve and share their rich cultural heritage with tourists. 🏔
