Bohemia is the evening standout in our latest Jersey Edit.

Under the direction of Chef Tom Earnshaw, the restaurant puts the produce of Jersey onto the world culinary stage.

The Signature Tasting Menu is where the evening really begins to take shape. Delivered over six courses, after an amuse-bouche and bread offering to begin, the menu offers a journey through the best of what Jersey has to offer.

Nods to the sea and land are clear throughout, from asparagus and Cornish John Dory to Herdwick “Merguez”, lamb, forced rhubarb and the final Chocolate Crémeux with caviar.

As a standout dining option in St Helier, it is one reservation that should be included in a visit not only to the city, but to the island as a whole.

Tavola is an Italian-inspired restaurant located inside St Helier’s Central Market.

Its position gives the space a unique edge, allowing lunch to sit directly within the workings and movement of the wider market.

On this visit, the tapas-style sharing plates were sampled, including arancini and focaccia with the house dip. The service was friendly, the atmosphere was laid back and the food was delivered at a pace that fitted the setting.

A hotel restaurant can be more than just an add on to a hotel stay, it can shape your evening.

The better ones do not just serve excellent food. They make staying in feel more like an occasion than just a convenience or practicality.

We always look for dining rooms where you would genuinely want to spend the evening eating well, not simply stay on property because it is there.

For Palates & Miles, it is never about one or the other, that is the standard.

A trip to the South of France can be one of the most rewarding ways to experience Provence and the Riviera, but the region can be difficult to structure properly.

Our latest Edit brings together the recent Palates & Miles South of France series into one considered seven-day route, starting in Aix-en-Provence before moving through Château de la Gaude, Cannes, Grasse and Nice.

It also acts as a precursor to our full South of France guide, launching in early June 2026.

Bar°58 at Carlton Cannes is a reminder that Cannes is not only defined by the beachfront.

Inside, the atmosphere is more intimate. The bar draws attention from every corner of the room, with the work of the bartenders becoming part of the experience itself.

Classic cocktails sit alongside more seasonal creations, light snacks and a considered bar menu, creating a space that works as well for an early evening drink as it does for a longer night in Cannes.

Cannes beyond the festival.

The Carlton Beach Club captures one of the city’s greatest strengths: the ability to move from La Croisette to the beach without losing the sense of occasion.

Our latest Edit closes the South of France series by exploring Cannes as a destination in its own right, from beachfront dining and Bar°58 to considered restaurants, hotel options and how to structure a wider Riviera stay.

A Cannes apartment designed for what happens after the premiere.

At the top of Hôtel Martinez, the Thierry Frémaux Apartment moves deliberately away from the Riviera cliché. Light is present, but controlled. The palette deepens into black, midnight blue and lacquered surfaces that hold the room in a quieter tension.

Redesigned by Pierre-Yves Rochon, the space is built around how Cannes actually operates. Mornings begin overlooking the bay, but the rhythm shifts quickly. Screenings move private. Dinners become smaller. Conversations stretch later.

The screening room anchors it. Not as a feature, but as a signal of intent.

During the festival, this is not simply a suite. It becomes a working extension of Cannes itself, where cinema, fashion and influence intersect behind closed doors.

At the top of Hôtel Martinez, the Isabelle Huppert Apartment is defined by light, proportion and restraint.

Redesigned by Pierre-Yves Rochon, the space unfolds with a quiet confidence. Soft tones, curved lines and carefully framed views over Cannes create a sense of calm that feels removed from the bustle below.

During festival week, it becomes something else entirely. A private stage above the Croisette, where the great and good gather.

When connected, it expands into one of the largest suite offerings in Europe. Yet it never loses its sense of intimacy.

This is Riviera living, distilled.
