Skiing in March means the temps are a bit warmer than winter but due to its elevation, expect to find the deepest snowpack of the year and mid-winter conditions. The skiing area of Leukerbad has fantastic views of the Matterhorn and Mont Blanc.
The resort of Leukerbad lies at an elevation of 1,400m, with a max vertical of 1,440m and its highest lift going as far as 2,850m. There are a total of 18 pistes in the immediate vicinity of the resort, served by 11 ski lifts and gondolas. Around 7% of the slopes are ideal for beginners, 57% serve the needs of intermediates and the remaining 36% is far more challenging.
This high alpine valley in the Valais region of Sitzerland is famous for its natural hot springs, thermal baths and spas but also has lovely hikes suitable for families.

Booking accommodation well in advance for your holiday is very useful, even essential at times. The best snow months in Switzerland are January, February and March. November, December and April can be attractive, too.

Leukerbad startet in die Wintersaison 2024/25

Das Skigebiet Torrent eröffnet mit den Vorsaisonweekends am 7./8. und 14./15. Dezember 2024 die Wintersaison 2024/25. Der Snowpark Sportarena im Erli nimmt am 14./15. Dezember den Betrieb auf. Vom 21. Dezember 2024 bis zum 21. April 2025 sind dann die Torrent- und Gemmi-Bahnen im Betrieb.

Die Leukerbad Therme ist täglich geöffnet und bietet verlängerte Öffnungszeiten an folgenden Daten:
- 26. Dezember - 04. Januar: 08:00 - 21:00
- 15. Februar - 08. März: 08:00 - 21:00

Area: 61 m² including a 10 m² big balcony facing Southwest. This apartment, located in Leukerbad, is ideal for 4 vacationers. 1.5 room apartment on the first floor (accessible by lift). It is cozy, family-friendly and offers everything you need to enjoy the perfect vacation. You'll love its well equipped kitchen, spacious living room with 2 fold-out wall beds and 2 more single beds in an alcove (created by the curtain) and a big balcony with majestic views of mountains and the village. As you enter the apartment a long corridor will take you to the bathroom which is fitted with a bathtub and a toilet. Another separate toilet is available, too. The living room is the perfect place to unwind after a day of exploring, with a 3-seater sofa and 2 couches, a cable TV (with flat screen) andexit to the balcony. Enjoy your feast around the dining table which seats 5 or outside, on the balcony enjoying views of the mountains.
