I’ve just returned from Greece and I’m being asked the same question.

‘Is now a good time to travel?’

Here’s what I know after 20+ years in this industry: there is no perfect moment. Life doesn’t pause while you wait for the news cycle to calm down.

So my advice: Choose Travel.
Don’t wait for things to get easier, simpler, better. Life will always be complicated. Learn ways to travel within your means right now. Otherwise, you’ll run out of time.

Next week I head to Indonesia - surprisingly for an Australian, I've never been.

Bali first. I'm genuinely excited, but if I'm honest it's less about the scenery and more about the people. Everyone I've spoken to says the same thing - that there's a gentleness and warmth to the Balinese people.

From there I've been invited to on the island of Sumba. Remote, wild, sitting right on a coral reef with turquoise lagoons and traditional villages on its doorstep. They describe themselves as a sanctuary for the 'curious epicurean' - I mean how divine does that sound?

A lot of my clients are looking towards Asia right now, so the timing couldn't be better. And there's no better way to send someone somewhere than to go there first. More soon. 🌿
