Where faith, culture, and the Himalayas come together. 🏔️🙏

Every year, the Himalayan communities gather to celebrate Duppatsechi, a sacred festival deeply rooted in faith, tradition, and unity. While the ritual is observed annually, it is celebrated with its greatest significance during the Year of the Horse.
For three days, around 200–300 people from managa , lower of nubri side , Sama Gaun, and neighboring villages across the Manaslu region come together to take part in this spiritual gathering. Some devote themselves to prayers and religious rituals, some visit the sacred sites around Pungen, and others observe a three-day fast as an act of devotion.
Duppatsechi is more than a festival—it is a living tradition that preserves the spiritual heritage, cultural identity, and strong sense of community of the Himalayan people.
