A couple of weeks ago, we had the pleasure of hosting a tasting in a truly unique setting - aboard the beautiful ship S.S. Emilie with . 🚢✨🍫

As part of a Mystery Cruise, we sailed along the River Rhine while sharing and discovering exciting chocolate flavors together.

These were the key topics on the last day of during our Ethical Chocolate Tour.

A special shout-out to our partner for sharing insights into their new project in Borneo, Indonesia — an example of real change and practices in action.

Just this week, we had an interesting conversation with one of our guests about why we don’t market our tours as sustainable.

To us, doing less harm is not enough anymore. Yes, the SDGs and frameworks are important, and it’s good we follow them. 🙏

But “sustainability” has become a buzzword, often used for greenwashing or creating a competitive advantage over others.

And yes - we are sustainable. By design, we are walking tours, so no CO₂, and when we need to cover distances, we do so by public transport. Each of our tours is themed around sustainability topics - and yet you will not see a hashtag or any mention on our website that we are “sustainable.” Because there is no need to say that. It’s already there.

To us, sustainability must be a default.
And what we need to focus our energy on is system change - to achieve not only sustaining life, but life on this planet.

And yeah - actions often say more than words. 💚 Let’s walk the talk - one Detour at a time. ;)
