"How can a drum be talking, and some people understand and interpret it to us as a message."

One of the reasons why the armies of the Oyo Empire were formidable was because they could communicate with each other miles apart with the talking drum. It is not just a musical instrument. It is a language, like a computer language, and only the initiated can understand it. Beyond that, it is almost spiritual. Certainly esoteric."

🇳🇬 will forever hold a special place in my heart, as it was the very first West African country I had the privilege to explore. Over the course of my journey, I had the opportunity to visit some of Nigeria's most vibrant cities.

Lagos, the bustling economic hub of Nigeria, is a city that never sleeps. Its vibrant energy, breathtaking skyline, and the constant hum of activity make it a true metropolis. The juxtaposition of modernity and tradition in places like Victoria Island and the vibrant markets of Balogun make Lagos a city of captivating contrasts.

Abuja, the capital city, is a testament to the country's progress and aspirations. The grandeur of the government district, with its impressive architecture and well-planned streets, contrasts beautifully with the serene greenery of the A*o Rock. The sense of purpose and ambition that fills the air in Abuja is truly inspiring.

Ibadan, with its rich history and sprawling markets, left an indelible mark on my soul. The ancient city's impressive architecture and the warmth of its people made it an unforgettable experience.

Port Harcourt, with its bustling energy and the enchanting Niger Delta nearby, offered a unique blend of urban and natural beauty. The local cuisine and the rhythmic beats of the city's music scene were a true delight.

Akwa Ibom, known for its pristine beaches and lush greenery, felt like a paradise on Earth. The serene ambiance and the ever-smiling faces of the locals made it an oasis of tranquility.

Throughout my journey, what stood out the most was the boundless love and hospitality of Nigerians! You rarely hear Nigerians speak negatively of other nationalities! They love and embrace everyone! I am eagerly counting down the days until I can revisit these wonderful places and immerse myself in the love and beauty of Nigeria once more. -
