amazing sunrise at the 15 statues of Tongariki. The longest day of the year was celebrated there on the 21st of December. Many believe the statues are aligned with the longest day of the year but it is more likely the were aligned with the heart of the constellation of scorpio (known in Polynesia as Mauis fish hook) as the ancient Rapa Nui used a luna calendar.
