Set on the banks of the Río de la Plata, amidst vineyards, orchards and olive groves, Chic Carmelo invites you to slow down and reconnect with calm, nature, and the life’s simple pleasures.

The property is spread out and quiet, with rooms positioned for privacy and open views, either across the river or the natural landscape. Interiors lean into raw materials, think wood, linen, neutral tones.

The pace is unhurried and the setting naturally lends itself to wine and olive oil tastings, horse riding between forest and beach, boating out on the river, fishing or golf, just nearby.

At the centre of the property is a long pool and restaurant with a serious wine list focused on the region. This is Carmelo, after all.

Just outside Carmelo, Winery is one of Uruguay’s most traditional and iconic wineries.

The main house, built in 1909, still stands at the heart of the estate, surrounded by vines first planted over a hundred years ago, making Narbona one of the country’s oldest bodegas.

Don’t miss:

Expertly guided wine tastings featuring Narbona’s legendary Tannat and other varietals paired perfectly with artisanal cheeses from their own dairy farm.
Become a winemaker for the day and prepare your own blend alongside the house enologist.
Farm-fresh flavours and artisanal products from their farm. Duclce de leche, preserves, artisanal cheeses, yogurts, and ice cream.
A private picnic in the vineyards featuring the best of their wines and produce.
Linger longer and stay at the winery’s boutique lodge, an intimate escape amidst sprawling vineyards.

Welcome to Carmelo.

A riverside retreat and one of Uruguay’s most charming wine regions, where dusty roads lead to boutique vineyards, long lunches stretch into golden hour, and the Río de la Plata glistens like glass at sunset.

Days here are unhurried and best spent biking between bodegas for private tastings, horseback riding through unspoiled countryside and sailing along the Rio de la Plata.

It’s understated, low-key and feels like you’ve stumbled onto somewhere quietly special.

Ready to recharge?

Valle de Elqui is a holistic wellness mecca. Set between verdant vineyards and arid Andean foothills, this is a place where nature and energy feel deeply intertwined.

Most commonly known as the birthplace of Chilean pisco, the valley has also become a draw for spiritual seekers and curious travellers from around the world, pulled by its quartz-rich mountains and a mystic energy, considered the counterpart to Tibet.

Think days that begin with sunrise yoga, followed by massages, meditation, reiki, aura readings, sound healing and other energy-focused experiences.

As night falls, stargazing becomes its own form of meditation, a moment to marvel and contemplate the mysteries of the universe beneath some of the clearest skies in the world.

Casa Molle is a desert oasis.

Set on land once cultivated and revered by the ancient Molle people, the expansive 42-acre Relais & Châteaux property feels deeply rooted in the valley.

The ochre-hued adobe buildings frame a large outdoor swimming pool graced with cactus gardens and embraced by crystalline rivers. Hidden terraces, hammocks beneath palm trees, and ceremonial spaces invite you to wander and discover quiet corners.

The sublime spa draws inspiration from the Elqui Valley’s reputation as a place of energy, healing, and introspection. Think Tibetan bowl meditation, Ayurvedic massages, yoga sound healing and unique treatments like “gemotherapy,” which uses gems to channel cosmic light to the body’s energy centers.

As the sun sets, the hotel’s open-air amphitheater sculpted in the shape of a traditional molle vessel sets the scene to stargaze beneath some of the clearest skies on Earth. A iving work of art created by Catalan artist Mireia Gil, it integrates ceramics, mural painting and ancestral symbolism to bring to life a unique cermonial space.

The enchanting, and enchanted, Valle de Elqui is a sun-drenched valley of verdant vineyards and historic villages framed by arid Andean foothills.

Here are five reasons it deserves a spot on your itinerary…

Mystic energy: The valley has become a magnet for spiritual seekers and curious travellers from around the world, lured by its quartz-rich mountains and mystic energy, considered the counterpart to Tibet.

Holistic wellness hotspot: Think sunrise yoga, massages, meditation, reiki, aura readings, sound baths and other energy-focused experiences.

Birthplace of Chilean Pisco: Discover distilleries and rolling vineyards that produce some of the country's best pisco.

Extraordinary Night Skys: Designated the world’s first Dark Sky Sanctuary, this is officially one of our planet’s premier places for stargazing. Observatories like Cerro Tololo Inter-American Observatory and Mamalluca Observatory were built here for a reason.

Outdoor adventure: The lush valley and rugged mountains invite exploration with opportunities for hiking, biking, horse riding and kayaking.
