You don’t necessarily have to make a plan to go skiing to enjoy the beauty of the mountains.
The magical “Laguna del Inca” or Inca Lagoon, with it’s stunning emerald green color & interesting Inca mythology, is a central feature at , the oldest ski resort in South America. The color of the lagoon can vary from emerald green to deep blue. It is located in the Valparaíso Region, very close to the border with Argentina and is surrounded by the Andes Mountains.
From Santiago, it takes about 2 and a half hours to reach this wonder. And it is usually complemented by a visit to one of the wonderful wineries of the “Aconcagua Valley”.
