The real magic begins after Rancagua. The route, known as the Carretera del Cobre (H-25), takes you directly into the mountains. It's a road that ascends gradually, offering increasingly impressive panoramic views as you leave the central valley behind. The road is generally well-paved, with curves that become tighter and more exciting as you gain altitude. Important: Access to Sewell is restricted, so you must book a guided tour in advance, either with the Sewell Foundation or an authorized tour operator, to enter and complete the historical tour.
