We choose quality over quantity. Always.

Because an experience should feel personal, not mass-produced.

Smaller groups mean better connections, more attention, and safer rides.
A more respectful experience for our horses, our environment, and you.

Because Patagonia is not meant to be rushed.
It’s meant to be fully lived.

And horses are not machines.
They are partners.

“Le cœur a ses raisons que la raison ignore.”
— Blaise Pascal

Sometimes, your heart knows long before your mind understands.
Strangely, everyone around me seemed to know I would stay… except me.
Then I met this golden horse.
I called him Sauvage.
That’s when staying became real.
That was the beginning of everything.

I had everything I was supposed to want.

A comfortable life.
A stable career.
A clear path.

But deep down, I knew it wasn’t mine.
So I left Paris, crossed the world, and followed a feeling I couldn’t explain.

I didn’t know that one decision would eventually become Galope Austral.

This is the first chapter of that story. Part 2 coming soon.

Every horse at Galope Austral has a story.
Each one has a personality of its own.

Some were born with us.
Most found their way to us.

But they all share the qualities we look for:
kindness, athleticism, sure-footedness, and a genuine love for the trail.

They cross rivers.
Climb mountain passes.
Ride through ancient forests.
Gallop across endless pampas.
Patagonia is their home.

Long before carrying guests, they spend months maturing, training, resting, and building confidence.
We know them by heart.

We know their strengths.
Their little quirks.
What makes each one unique.

That’s why choosing your horse is never random.
We carefully match each horse with the rider who’s right for them.

And something unexpected happens.
People don’t just remember Patagonia.

They remember a horse.
The greatest souvenir from Patagonia isn’t something you pack in your luggage.

It’s the name of a horse you’ll never forget.
Who’s the horse you would choose?
