FROM STRANDED TO SIGNED: THE 1AM AIRPORT PICKUP THAT CLOSED MY DEAL

“My flight landed Monday 15th June at 1:17AM. Nigeria. I knew nobody. My phone died at the gate.”

Mr. Simon, a Cameroonian tech consultant flying in for a 3-day contract in Nigeria. First time in Lagos. His client promised “someone will pick you up.” No name. No number.

"My visa just came out. But my flight is tomorrow. I can’t travel tomorrow!”

Meet Madam Ngu, a retired teacher from Bamenda, finally going to see her daughter in Canada after 4 years. She booked her ticket 3 months ago for June 15th. Then the embassy called: "Visa approved. But you must travel before June 10th or reapply. "
