𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗻’𝘀 𝗦𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗟𝗼𝗱𝗴𝗲
Located at an altitude of 2.3 km on the edge between the forest and the savannah. The path that leads there offers beautiful panoramic views allowing you to appreciate different types of vegetation and soils.

𝗙𝗮𝗸𝗼 𝗠𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝗟𝗼𝗱𝗴𝗲
Located at an altitude of 2,8 km on the main path from Buea to reach the summit
The site is protected from the winds by ancient hardened lava flows and offers an exceptional view of Buea, Limbe as far as the Atlantic coast, Tiko and even Douala.

Depending on the season, the shelters' cabins may be full. In this case, tent spaces are available.

Regarding catering...
Meals and drinks including tea, coffee, beer, juice, wines and spirits can be ordered on site. For groups it is preferable to order meals in advance. So that you can have local specialties or foreign dishes.

Everything is in place to guarantee your safety and a memorable experience.

🌟The Limbé Botanical Garden
Founded in 1892 by the Germans, the Limbé botanical garden is another vestige of the colonial era. It served as a testing and acclimatization center for the introduction of exotic species intended for cultivation such as coffee, cocoa, palm oil, latex, bananas, teak and sugar cane for a supply inside Kamerun and in the other German colonies. At its peak, the Limbe Botanical Garden was considered one of the most important tropical botanical gardens in the world.
In 1920, the British took possession and responsibility of the the garden until 1932, then were replaced by a Cameroonian personnel until 1958.
With the independence of Western Cameroon acquired in 1961, the management of the botanical garden was taken over by the government.
In 1988, a British-Cameroonian partnership was initiated, which led to the renovation and development of the garden.

🌟Mount Cameroon National Park
It extends from dense lowland rainforest on the Atlantic coast through submontane and montane forest to savannah towards the summit. Created in 2009 to promote the development of ecotourism activities, the park constitutes the most diverse ecosystem in Cameroon, thus appearing among the top 10 places to conserve in the world (IUCN, 1994). This area is home to the last isolated population of forest elephants in the region, which are threatened.

🌟Bimbia Slave Port
Discover the mythical slave village of Bimbia and its trading port. Located in the town of Dikolo, off the Atlantic coast, the port of Bimbia has been a very important hub in transatlantic trade. It served as a trading post between chefs who sold men, women and children, in exchange for products coming from the West. Some researchers speak of more or less a million black slaves (men and women) leaving the port of Bimbia.

𝐃𝐢𝐝 𝐘𝐨𝐮 𝐊𝐧𝐨𝐰 ?

The Palace of former German Governor Jesko von PuttKammer now houses the cameroonian Presidential residence in Buea.

Located at the foot of Mt Cameroon, the "Governor's Palace" as it's called there is a true monument of history and a real attraction of this British-style city.

Le palais von PuttKammer est en effet l'un des vestiges importants de l'époque coloniale allemande ; Buéa était alors la capitale du Cameroun entre 1901 - 1914 (à la veille de la première guerre mondiale).

La journée mondiale des monument et sites est l'occasion idéale pour remettre en lumière ce monument d'histoire et d'architecture qui a notamment inspiré le palais du Sultan des Foumban.

Souvent noyé dans la brume, le palais des gouverneurs de Buéa fait l'objet de nombreuses histoires de fantômes👻 comme celui de la v***e von PuttKammer qui y ferait de fréquentes apparitions, jouant du piano la nuit😱

Le palais est malheureusement interdit aux visiteurs puisqu'il désormais une des résidences du Président camerounais mais il reste tout de même visible depuis la route.
