Liupanshui City 六盘水市/六盤水
Liupanshui (simplified Chinese: 六盘水; traditional Chinese: 六盤水; pinyin: Liùpánshuǐ) is a city in western Guizhou province, People's Republic of China. The name Liupanshui combines the first character from the names of each of the city's three constituent counties: Liuzhi, Panzhou, Shuicheng. As prefecture-level city with area of 9,926 square kilometres (3,832 sq mi) its population more than 3 million in 2018. The city is known locally as "The Cool City" or "Cool Capital" due to low average summer temperature of 19.7 degrees Celsius.
Altitude normally is between 1,400 to 1,900 meters high, highest point being 2,845.7 meters high. For this reason, those people not accustomed to the plateau climate will get leg cramps! So it is advisable to drink milk, soy milk, or take bean curd (tofu) everyday to gain in calcium.
Public transit from Guiyang or Kunming high-speed railway station to Panzhou station then takes a bus or a taxi to Liupanshui City. Now high-speed railway direct into Liupanshui City center from Guiyang. There is also Liupanshui Yuezhao Airport flying to 12 cities in China.
