Thank You to Every One of You Who Was There | 13 and 14 Conclude Successfully at Taihu Theatre
On the afternoon of September 19, 13 and 14 completed this performance at the Taihu Theatre of the National Centre for the Performing Arts Taihu Stage Art Centre. The lights fell, the applause rose, and what remained in our hearts was a long, lingering warmth.
Thank you to the National Centre for the Performing Arts and Taihu Theatre; to all the dancers, behind-the-scenes team, and staff, for making it possible for these two works to be beautifully presented this afternoon; and especially to every one of you who walked into the theatre.
This time in Beijing, we saw some old friends. Some of you have been in the audience since long ago, having seen TAO Dance Theater in different phases, accompanying us through one stretch of the road after another, and witnessing how this company has made its way to today. Your arrival made this performance feel more like a long-awaited reunion. Thank you for always being there.
We also thank the new friends who came to see TAO Dance Theater for the first time. We hope that this afternoon’s body and presence, rhythm and repetition, left a certain moment in your hearts.
The performance has ended and the curtain has closed, but the body continues to dance on in memory. Next, we will take these works to Spain, and by the end of the year arrive in New York, London, and Adelaide. May every meeting be worthy of the journey, and may every departure have an echo.
