WildWall

WildWall More than great views, WildWall trips provide a physical, spiritual, emotional, intellectual, inspirational and unforgettable attachment to a true wonder.

Adventurer, scholar, conservationist and Nat Geo presenter William Lindesay OBE, a Briton based in China for 25 years, and his wife Wu Qi invite those with a sense of adventure to be personal guests at The Barracks, their courtyard residence at the foot of the Great Wall amid mountains north of Beijing. A WildWall Weekend allows guests to experience the magnificence of the Wall and its historical landscape, and be inspired by stories drawn from William’s 2,000 days at the Wall.

In a celebration of ping pong diplomacy between the US and China back in the early 1970s, a group of young players from University of Virginia came over to play the game with a Tsinghua team. A visit to the Great Wall was essential and Tommy (far right) met the group in Beijing and told them his own Great Wall story as they drove out Badaling and then walked the Wall there. A new generation of Lindesays is enthralling audiences with their library of experiences lived and loved at the Great Wall! Well done Tommy on his reportedly excellent storytelling, insights and public speaking!
