With a network of members all around China we have a combined 100 years of translation and interpreting experience, both as employees in medium and large sized companies as well as freelance workers. We are located in every part of the world including Beijing, Tianjin, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Hong Kong, US, UK, and Australia. I (Vivienne) graduated from one of the top 10 Universities in China with a degree in Chinese Language and Literature and have had a very interesting life that has taken me across the world working in various industries and with a lot of interesting people. Since finally settling in Beijing I started building a team of freelance workers in the fields of translation and interpreting with various specialties, who I can trust to produce quality work for our clients. I find LinkedIn is not necessarily the best place to find work, but it is a convenient place to park one's online CV ;). But seriously, each social network seems to have its own personality, and many people will prefer one over the other. Some live on Facebook, others cultivate all their profession

How many interpreters are there in Shanghai? The most recent official tally of certified interpreters was all in 2009 with 130K, 14 years prior it was 704.
