Sangsol pronounced as sāŋsöl or incense offering is an integral part of the propitiation of gods/protective deities among Tibetan people. Sang sol is usually done on the roof of a building or other high spots (like a mountain pass) and it involves burning juniper branches or other fragrant substances. The aromatic smoke is offered to local deities and the gods of higher realms. This is actually the simplest form of incense offering.
