This summer, Quynh Anh and her family from Da Nang, Vietnam, came to Shaoxing, China, to experience the charm of this Jiangnan water town. Over two days, they explored Lu Xun’s Native Place, Dayu Mausoleum, and the Yellow Rice Wine Museum, discovering Shaoxing’s rich history and culture. They also took a boat ride on Jianhu Lake and harvested pearls by hand in Shanxiahu Town, experiencing a different side of local life.
Coming from a place known for its sunshine, sea breeze, and ocean, Quynh Anh experienced a different kind of “cool” in Shaoxing, China. The peaceful water towns, slower pace of life, and time spent exploring local culture with her family became some of the most memorable moments of the trip.
Although the journey lasted only two days, it left Quynh Anh and her family with special memories. For them, Shaoxing is not only a Jiangnan water town worth exploring, but also a place where precious family moments can be shared and remembered.
