Elevated Trips Step out of the ordinary and experience the wild, pristine beauty of the mountains and culture of Tibet. In March 2008, my wife and I were married.

After saying our "I do's" we immediately took off to walk 2,650 miles from Mexico to Canada via the Pacific Crest Trail through the mountains of California, Oregon, and Washington states. We finished the Pacific Crest Trail on October 4, 2008. And we were hooked and we knew wanted more, so we started guiding people on backpacking trips to share our own love for the mountains in the Sierra Nevada r

ange in California. in 2009, we were looking for jobs as guides and we came across a guy who worked in tourism the Himalayas. He invited us to move to western China to study Chinese and work there too. It was a radical shift from anything that was on our radar, but it seemed like the opportunity of a lifetime. Within two weeks we made our decision:
We were going to China! After studying Chinese language for 3 years and traveling around the Tibetan Plateau for 7 years, we are using our passion for the outdoors and culture and are working to develop Elevated Trips as a bridge to local communities to support ecotourism and community development.
