"Condors are the owners of the air, the sky does not seem to have secrets for these master gliders. Known as the largest flying bird on the planet with a wingspan of more than three meters; in the andean territory it symbolizes magnificence, strength and freedom. A maiting pair produces only a single offspring every other year and both parents must care for their young for a full year. The condor us monogamous, it lives with a single mate for its whole life. The male has a fleshy crest on the top of the head, and both males and females, when they are adults show off a white fringe of feathers around the neck; they have bald heads to keep the carrion they eat from sticking to their feathers as they feed."
