POLITICA DE SOSTENIBILIDAD

BIRDING & HERPING es una agencia operadora de turismo especializada en la prestación de servicios de alta calidad en observación de aves (Birding), observación de herpetos (Anfibios y reptiles) (Herping) y fotografía de naturaleza. Buscamos mediante nuestra política de sostenibilidad generar una satisfacción plena de nuestros clientes; fortaleciendo el desarrollo y ejecución de nuestros servicios a fin de promover prácticas amigables con el medio ambiente, implementando estándares bioéticos y ética profesional en la manipulación y/o estrés de los animales, buscando mitigar los impactos negativos. En nuestra línea estratégica de conservación buscamos potencializar un trabajo comunitario influyente e incluyente donde se generen capacitaciones y se fortalezcan procesos de enfocados en conservación, la implementación de buenas prácticas ambientales que garanticen la preservación de nuestro patrimonio natural, cultural y étnico, el establecimiento de reservas naturales de la sociedad civil, la formación y acompañamiento a guías locales y la conformación de grupos ecológicos. Código de Conducta: servicios turísticos

En cumplimiento de lo dispuesto en el Artículo 1º de la Ley 1336 de 2009, el Ministerio de Comercio, Industria y Turismo ha elaborado un modelo de Códigos de Conducta, el cual de acuerdo a lo estipulado en esta Ley deberá ser adoptado y cumplido por todos los prestadores de servicios turísticos. Los compromisos consagrados en este Código de Conducta fueron presentados ante representantes de gremios representativos del sector, quienes hicieron aportes y recomendaciones en reunión adelantada el pasado 21 de octubre de 2009 en las instalaciones del Ministerio de Comercio, Industria y Turismo. Atendiendo los aportes recibidos en esta reunión, se redactaron los compromisos mínimos que debe contener el Código de Conducta que deberán adoptar y cumplir los prestadores de servicios turísticos de la siguiente manera:
1. Abstenerse de ofrecer en los programas de promoción turística y en planes turísticos, expresa o subrepticiamente, planes de explotación sexual de niños, niñas y adolescentes.
2. Abstenerse de dar información a los turistas, directamente o por interpuesta persona acerca de lugares desde donde se coordinen o donde practique explotación sexual comercial de niños, niñas y adolescentes.
3. Abstenerse de conducir a los turistas, directamente o a través de terceros a establecimientos o lugares donde se practique la explotación sexual comercial de niños, niñas, así como conducir a éstos a los sitios donde se encuentran hospedados los turistas, incluso si se trata de lugares localizados en altamar, con fines de explotación sexual comercial de niños, niñas y adolescentes.
4. Abstenerse de facilitar vehículos en rutas turísticas con fines de explotación o de abuso sexual con niños, niñas y adolescentes.
5. Impedir el ingreso de niños, niñas y adolescentes a los hoteles o lugares de alojamiento y hospedaje, bares, negocios similares y demás establecimientos en los que se presten servicios turísticos, con fines de explotación o de abuso sexual.
6. Adoptar las medidas tendientes a impedir que el personal vinculado a cualquier título con la empresa, ofrezca servicios turísticos que permitan actividad sexual con niños, niñas y adolescentes.
7. Proteger a los niños, niñas y adolescentes nacionales o extranjeros de toda forma de explotación y violencia sexual originada por turistas nacionales o extranjeros.
8. Denunciar ante el Ministerio de Comercio, Industria y Turismo y demás autoridades competentes, los hechos de que hubiere tenido conocimiento por cualquier medio, así como la sospecha de estos, relacionados con explotación sexual de niños, niñas y adolescentes y asegurar que al interior de la empresa existan canales para denunciar ante las autoridades competentes tales hechos.
9. Diseñar y divulgar al interior de la empresa y con sus proveedores de bienes y servicios, una política en la que el prestador establezca medidas para prevenir y contrarrestar toda forma de explotación sexual de niños, niñas y adolescentes en viajes y turismo.
10. Capacitar a todo el personal vinculado y que vaya vinculando a la empresa, así como a los proveedores que por la naturaleza de sus actividades tengan contacto con turistas, frente al tema de prevención de la explotación sexual comercial de niños, niñas y adolescentes.
11. Informar a sus usuarios sobre las consecuencias legales en Colombia de la explotación y el abuso sexual de niños, niñas y adolescentes.
12. Fijar en lugar público y visible del establecimiento o establecimientos de comercio el presente Código de Conducta y los demás compromisos que el prestador desee asumir con el fin de proteger a los niños, niñas y adolescentes. Nuestra Agencia está comprometida con:
La prevención del tráfico de especies como flora y fauna silvestre (ley 599 de 2000 y Decreto 1608 de 1978). La prevención de la explotación sexual infantil, del turismo sexual y otras formas de abuso a los menores de edad (ley 1336 de 2009), de la explotación laboral infantil Código del Menor (ley 1098 de 2006). La prevención del tráfico de Patrimonio Cultural (ley 397 de 1997). Defendemos la igualdad de raza o género (ley 1482 de 2011, modificada por la ley 1752 de 2015).

Machangara un hermoso lugar en Quimbaya Quindío. Excelente para observar y fotografiar aves en libertad. A borde de carretera en la vía entre Montenegro y Quimbaya. 3 kms.
Con más de 140 especies registradas y comederos de aves para fotógrafos. Ideal para esos trayectos largos entre el Valle del Cauca al Tolima o Caldas. Acá puedes encontrar una excelente atención. Ambiente familiar. Buena comida. Hospedaje muy cómodo. Ambiente familiar. (Piscina ) y senderos de fácil acceso. Visitamos esta reserva con nuestro grupo Pajareadas Quindianas el pasado domingo. 🇨🇴 HELP US HELP THE FROGGING COMMUNITIES OF COLOMBIA 🇨🇴

As many of you know, Colombia was hit by a devastating 7.4-magnitude earthquake, and some of the hardest-hit areas are home to small frogging communities that many of us in the dart frog hobby know and care deeply about.

These aren’t just places where incredible frogs are found. They are people’s homes, communities, and livelihoods. Many of these communities also play an important role in protecting the incredible frogs, plants, wildlife, and ecosystems found throughout their region.

Right now, those communities need help. We have received direct reports of road closures, land slides, damaged houses, food and medical supply shortages and so much more. This is the frog communities time to step up and support the communities that work directly with the frogs and ecosystems that we love.

🦅 THE HARPY EAGLE — APEX OF THE NEOTROPICAL FOREST

Few birds embody the power and mystery of tropical forests like the Harpy Eagle (Harpia harpyja). One of the largest and most powerful eagles in the Americas, this extraordinary raptor is perfectly adapted to life beneath the forest canopy.
